Honestly, not a very good weapon before this nerf, so I don't see it doing so hot after this. Maybe it should work like heavy's minigun and have a ramp-up from the initial firing period? The way it is now is just terrible. I think that ramp-up for particles would be too difficult to effectively track in a game like TF2.

Like mentioned above, it's possible the ramp-up is not working as intended, but effectively Pyro is nerfed by 50% damage as a result of this patch. They spent a year buffing Pyro because he was too weak, and now you've made him too weak again. This is not how you should balance the flamethrower.
#Little inferno terrible mystery combo full
Were they able to find a good middle ground? Needs more testing / second opinions.Įdit: I'm reading a lot about the ramp-up being bugged and not reaching full damage, so Pyro is supposedly much weaker than intended now, so we are at the mercy of having Valve fix thisĢnd edit: I used the flamethrower for a good amount of time. As we all know, it was buffed heavily however did not require much skill at all to excel with, which is where most people were having a problem. The important thing here is, how does it compare to pre-Jungle Inferno Pyro? Pre-JI flamethrower was a joke, not threatening in the slightest. I haven't had the time to test it much, but I've seen people say it is "much" weaker now. Just wanna talk about a few things so we can gather a general consensus on the New New Pyro, post Jungle Inferno nerf.īiggest change here. But, a lot of people complained as usual so oh well. I gotta be honest, I didn't anticipate that Valve would actually spend all that time buffing Pyro just to nerf Pyro. Thanks to Klanana for our community banner!
